Solar Construction Staking
Every trade on a solar site builds off the layout. If the stakes are right, grading, piling, and electrical move without waiting on each other. If they are wrong, everyone finds out at the same time.
Basemap Consulting provides construction staking for utility and community scale solar. We work for the EPC or the developer, tie the whole site to a licensed control network, and stay with the job through every phase of construction. We have staked multi-thousand-acre utility sites and we bring the same crews and process to community scale projects.
What We Stake
- Project control and boundary
- Limits of disturbance and erosion control
- Site entrances and access roads
- Tracker rows and pile row ends
- Underground electrical and collection routes
- Inverter pads, substations, and laydown yards
- Permanent perimeter fence and gates
How It Works
Your design set comes to us. We set and verify control, load the layout onto our data collectors by phase, and stake in the order construction needs it. As points go in, we record what was set so you have an as-staked file to check against, not a stack of field notes.
Why Basemap
Licensed in Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Our staking is tied to control set and checked by a licensed surveyor. That matters when a setback, an easement, or a property line is in play.
Layout and verification from one team. We also fly UAS LiDAR and aerial photogrammetry. Pre-construction topo, pile verification, and as-builts can come from the same people who did the layout.
Built for the pace of solar. Large sites, tight schedules, and multiple crews on the ground at once are the normal case for us, not the exception.
